Pre-Calculus 11 Systems of Equations
Specific Curriculum Outcomes
RF06 Students will be expected to solve, algebraically and graphically, problems that involve systems of linear-quadratic and quadratic-quadratic equations in two variables.
RF07 Students will be expected to solve problems that involve linear and quadratic inequalities in two variables.
RF08 Students will be expected to solve problems that involve quadratic inequalities in one variable.

RF06 ACTIVITIES
- Using Riddles to Introduce Systems of Equations - Here is a collection of riddles about coins that students can work on in order to get interested in solving systems of equations.
RF07 Activities
- Foxes and Chickens Inequalities Desmos Activity - This activity challenges students to come up with more and more accurate inequalities and combine inequalities to separate the foxes (orange points) and chickens (blue points) using a fence (inequality).
- Leo's Painting from Mathematics Benchmark - This task allows students to integrate algebra and geometry as they generate a quadratic inequality from a proportional relationship.

RF08 Activities
- Inequality Match Up on TES - A Match up activity on solving quadratic inequalities. Can be easily differentiated by giving students some complete pairs or giving some students a pack with missing cards.
- Inequalities for Some Occasions from Mathematics Underground - Students must place a list of quadratic inequalities in a Venn diagram to satisfy the constraints of each region.
